LegalView Updates Brain Injury Site with Information on TBI Disabled Soldier’s Family

LegalView recently updated its traumatic brain injury (TBI) blog to include information on the story of one soldier’s family who have taken on the role of caregivers. Physicians believe that the signature wound of soldiers returning from Iraq is a traumatic brain injury, which impacts friends and family, often turning them into care providers.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 1, 2008 — LegalView.com, the number one online legal resource for Americans, recently updated its traumatic brain injury blog (http://brain-injury.legalview.com/blog) with information of one family’s struggle to provide a disabled soldier family member with care after he sustained a severe traumatic brain injury from an improvised explosive device (IED) hitting his Humvee in the Iraq war. The family has blogged about their role as caregivers that each have provided for Sgt. Sam Nichols since he returned home. Each blog lists updates on Nichols status as well as insight into the difficulties that have plagued the family which are not only mental and physical, but have taken a financial toll as well.

Individuals with a similar plight to that of Sgt. Sam Nichols and his family should consider contacting a brain injury law firm (http://brain-injury.legalview.com/brain-injury-law-firm.aspx) that can provide a number of TBI attorneys and TBI lawyers to choose from. A brain injury lawyer will likely be able to offer a free legal consultation as to the development of any potential traumatic brain injury lawsuit (http://brain-injury.legalview.com/brain-injury-lawsuit.aspx).

Traumatic brain injuries affect millions of Americans annually and a total of 5.4 million U.S. citizens currently suffer from TBI and its side effects, which can range from memory loss to personality changes as well as cognitive disorders, according to the Brain Injury Association of America (BIA). For more information on the details and complications associated with a TBI diagnosis, it is advisable to contact a neurologist as well as a specialized traumatic brain injury attorney (http://brain-injury.legalview.com/brain-injury-attorney.aspx).

LegalView also offers several other information portals for victims of more than just traumatic brain injuries. For example, there are information portals with topics ranging from mesothelioma cancer to controversial prescription drug issues such as Avandia and Byetta.

Mesothelioma cancer is a rare form of cancer that has been linked to the inhalation of asbestos fibers and dust among individuals often employed in or working with construction materials. The mesothelioma practice area portal offers information on mesothelioma treatments and updated mesothelioma news as well as how to obtain an experienced mesothelioma attorney (http://mesothelioma.legalview.com/find-mesothelioma-attorney.aspx).

Additionally, there are several pharmaceutical portals containing information about controversial drugs such as the type 2 diabetes drugs known as Avandia and Byetta. Avandia, which was released from GlaxoSmithKline in mid-1999, is part of a drug class that utilizes an individual’s natural insulin production rather than administering outside insulin injections. It has been prescribed to millions of diabetics and has also been at the center of an ongoing controversy regarding the Avandia side effects (http://avandia.legalview.com). The drug has been linked to early onset osteoporosis as well as heart disease and heart failure among patients.

Byetta, which is also a type 2 diabetes drug at the center of a controversy, is part of a different class of drugs that uses the body’s natural insulin production as well, however, Byetta injects medicine that “mimics” the effects of hormones and other functions into the body to cause insulin production. Byetta has been available on the market since 2005 and by October 2007, patients began reporting side effects that included acute pancreatitis. Individuals who have been adversely affected by Byetta are encouraged to contact a pharmaceutical attorney as participation in a Byetta class action lawsuit (http://byetta.legalview.com) may be possible.

Hillary Gets Madame Secretary of State Nod Today

Sunday 30 November 2008 @ 11:11 pm

All Hillary lovers will not be pleased by Hillary Rodham Clinton’s imminent promotion to Secretary of State, but count me among those who are. It will be good for the country, and goddess knows this country needs all the freaking help it can get!

It will also be good for the women of the world. In the words of Taylor Marsh:

What HRC can bring to the world stage is monumental and something only she can do, especially given her work across many years on women’s rights alone.

And from Damozel at Buck Naked Politics: Hurray! Hillary will be Secretary of State! And I’m not in the mood to listen to naysayers, so LALALALLALALALALA I can’t heeeeear you.

Eat your heart out, Bill “Judas” Richardson. And what would Village Idiot Chris Matthews have to whine about if Hillary stayed in the senate? Josh Marshall and The Nation’s David Corn can whine right along with the MSNBC boyz. Maybe Corn and Marshall would like to join the General Electric/NBC team since they have so much in common with them.

Politico has the story:

It’s finally official: President-elect Obama will appear with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) in Chicago on Monday as he names her secretary of state, a remarkable reunion of once-bitter rivals. The news conference at a Chicago hotel is scheduled to begin at 10:40 a.m. Eastern.

HeadHunterHealthExchange.com Launched to Enhance Healthcare Recruitment for Employers and Recruiters

The new web-based healthcare recruitment portal, HeadHunterHealthExchange.com allows employers and recruiters to use just one source for all their hiring needs. Recruiters submit their healthcare candidates online to jobs posted by different employers across the country. Healthcare employers notify recruiters with web-based tools that make hiring more efficent. The Exchange simplifies and expedites the hiring process for the Healthcare Industry.

Gainesville, Florida (PRWEB) December 1, 2008 — Career Management Source announces the launching of HeadHunterHealthExchange.com (http://www.HeadHunterHealthExchange.com), a unique web-based recruitment resource created exclusively for healthcare employers and recruiters to streamline their hiring process. Members of the HeadHunter Health Exchange are able to “exchange” vital information (open positions for high-quality candidates) online using a custom created portal tailored for employers and recruiters in the healthcare industry. This new model dramatically advances the traditional method for healthcare recruitment by making the most of the internet’s speed and reach to create a superior source for all healthcare recruitment-based hiring. “The competitive advantages of our innovative approach to online healthcare hiring that bring healthcare recruiters and employers together are beneficial to those in the Industry”, says Hayes Milani, CEO, “We view it as the evolution of recruitment for Acute Care, Allied Health, Biotech, Life Sciences, Medical Devices and the Pharmaceutical Industries.”

The HeadHunter Health Exchange portal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_portal)was designed by recruiters for the recruitment business and customized for ease of use. Healthcare employers and recruiters activate their membership with a simple, confidential and cost-free account sign-up. Members enjoy a wide variety of advanced web-based recruitment tools and services such as: automatic “Match Making” emails when candidates who are already in the system are matched to new job openings, “Candidate Alerts” that let recruiters know by email the status of their candidates, signaling if they have been chosen for interview, and the ability to receive empirical data that can improve a member’s specific recruiting/hiring process. Every feature of HeadHunter Health Exchange was designed to make the hiring process more effective and efficient for healthcare recruiters and employers.

HeadHunter Health Exchange is an online network specializing in healthcare recruitment. Using the network gives healthcare employers (http://www.headhunterhealthexchange.com/Howitworks.aspx?user=E) what they want most–more high-quality candidates to choose from, only dealing with one source for all their recruitment needs and the ability to fill open positions faster. Likewise, recruiters get what they want most–equal opportunity in submitting healthcare candidates to all job openings in their industry. This is all accomplished online with an easy to use, free service. There is no need to establish preferred vendors or deal with the typical barrage of emails, phone calls, faxes and tedious negotiations for each hire. As Teresa Scholten, COO explains, “HeadHunter Health Exchange simplifies, enhances, manages and handles all the back office needs of its members.” There is only one contract and one agreement for Terms and Conditions, allowing healthcare employers and recruiters within the network to work effectively together.

By offering greater access to information, speed of transaction and unparalleled privacy, HeadHunter Health Exchange evolves healthcare recruitment, streamlining the flow of communication during the hiring process. Healthcare employers only respond to candidates they are interested in. Healthcare recruiters (http://www.headhunterhealthexchange.com/Howitworks.aspx?user=R) are able to work on all open positions in the market from top healthcare employers. This online service indeed represents the evolution of traditional recruitment methods, providing the ultimate “meeting ground” for select employers and recruiters in the healthcare community.
