Wilders: Protect Lawyer who wants to Prosecute me

Saturday 31 January 2009 @ 10:01 pm

Lawyer Gerard Spong, who is among those who have put in complaints about Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders, which have led to the latter’s prosecution, has received hundreds of hate emails. He has asked the Attorney General to provide him with security guards. Wilders has called upon the Minister of Justice to agree to Spong’s request. http://www.trouw.nl/nieuws/nederland/article2017062.ece/Wilders_dringt_aan_op_beveiliging_Spong.html

Analysis: Team Obama preoccupied with Bush

Gee, I can’t imagine why the current president would be preoccupied with the previous president who almost destroyed this country and the world during his 8 years in office!
It couldn’t have anything to do with needing to reverse his disastrous policies and trying to return this country to the state it was in before bush took office?
It would be criminal if Obama wasn’t preoccupied with bush and his failures!

smart move

Obama abandons ‘war on terror’ catchphrase.

The AP notes that only once since taking office on Jan. 20 has President Obama used the phrase “war on terror,” which was always on the lips of President Bush. Obama has instead more broadly referenced the “enduring struggle against terrorism and extremism.” CSIS national security analyst Anthony Cordesman notes that Bush’s phrase “became associated in the minds of many people outside the Unites States and particularly in places where the countries are largely Islamic and Arab, as being anti-Islam and anti-Arab.” Indeed, a Pentagon-funded study last year recommended that the U.S. do away with the terminology as the strategy behind it was “not successful in undermining al Qai’da’s capabilities.”

This was one of the innumerable stupid things that the bush administration did - this meaningless catch phrase was a repug rallying point but idiotic beyond all measure. You can’t fight a war against a feeling. The sooner this kind of moronic crap is behind us, the better!

Card: Obama has brought a ‘locker room experience’ to the WH with his informal dress code.
(Think Progress)

I frankly couldn’t care if the president was doing business in his freakin’ underwear, if he was doing a good job!
This moron thinks that bush respected the Oval Office! Bull-freakin’-shit! He just wanted to order people around.
Obama wants to get things done and who cares how his team is dressed as they do it?

sounds like a repug plan

Check out the clip from All in the Family at the link. Archie Bunker was spouting today’s repug talking points back in the 70’s! The difference is that back then people laughed at them!

repug obstructionists don’t have support of their party

GOP governors press Congress to pass stimulus bill

NEW YORK – Most Republican governors have broken with their GOP colleagues in Congress and are pushing for passage of President Barack Obama’s economic aid plan that would send billions to states for education, public works and health care.

Their state treasuries drained by the financial crisis, governors would welcome the money from Capitol Hill, where GOP lawmakers are more skeptical of Obama’s spending priorities.

The obstructionists have to learn that there are real people that are hurting due to their partisian, political power plays.

Hillary Meets With Kirsten Gillibrand

Saturday 31 January 2009 @ 9:01 am

This was a few days ago, but I couldn’t resist because it looks like Hillary is telling Kirsten which sexist senator ass*oles to avoid like the plague. That’s a conversation more women should have. Okay, so David Paterson and Chuck Schumer were somewhere in the vicinity.
