Whistle Blowing Minister “raising the stakes” in Continental Speaking Tour this February and March
Press statement
Kevin Annett, the pastor turned activist who forced Canada to acknowledge its genocide of native people this year, is taking his truth campaign on the road on February 12. But now he’s “upping the ante” on the institutions responsible.
Annett, an award-winning author and film maker, announced on January 1 a new campaign to politically challenge church and state in Canada through the launching of a broad-based “anti-colonial republican movement” committed to the establishment of a federated, secular Republic of Kanata that would sever ties with the British Crown and legally disestablish the Roman Catholic, Anglican and United Church of Canada.
“To finally heal the scars of genocide, we need to end what is causing it, starting with the oligarchic institutions responsible” said Annett in a media statement.
“As long as those unelected bodies - the Crown and its churches - remain the legal power in Canada, there can be no justice for any of their victims - and no democracy for anyone.”
Annett’s call was quickly endorsed by indigenous elders and activists across Canada.
Since 1995, Annett has worked to document and expose the planned genocide of native people in church-run Indian residential schools across Canada, including by the release of two books and an award-winning documentary film on the issue, UNREPENTANT.
On June 11, 2008, largely as a result of Annett’s tireless public campaigning, the government of Canada issued a formal apology for the Indian residential Schools, and, picking up on Annett’s call, announced the creation of a Missing Children’s Group to identify the burial sites of an estimated 50,000 children who died in the residential schools.
Annett’s work has earned him nominations for the Order of Canada and the Nobel Peace Prize from such figures as Dr. Noam Chomsky, Irish peace activist and Nobel laureate Mairead Corrigan-Maguire, and Amnesty International co-founder Dr. Jennifer Wade.
However, the continued refusal of the government and churches of Canada to hold themselves accountable or face criminal charges for the residential school crimes has prompted Annett and his network to “raise the stakes by getting explicitly political”, to quote Annett’s statement.
In the wake of Annett’s public vindication by the June 11 apology, his campaign is gaining new momentum, and new allies. Hundreds of people across Canada have recently taken a public “Oath of Allegiance” to a new Republic of Kanata, and plan to establish local branches of a Republican Party of Kanata.
Annett’s speaking tour is geared to win international support for the new movement and force a final reckoning with the churches and government of Canada over their proven crimes against humanity.
As part of his tour, Annett will cross Canada and the United States, meet with dozens of aboriginal and human rights leaders, speak at public forums, and hold public rallies including at the United Nations.
Later in the spring, Annett will travel to Europe to help convene a public War Crimes Tribunal against the British Crown and the Vatican for their responsibility for the deaths of more than 50,000 children in Indian Residential Schools in Canada.

The very lands we all along enjoyed
they ravished from the people they destroyed …
All the long pretenses of descent
are shams of right to prop up government.
‘ Tis all invasion, usurpation all;
‘ Tis all by fraud and force that we possess,
and length of time can make no crime the less;
Religion’s always on the strongest side.

Subject: Leonards Transfer
Date: Fri, 9 Jan 2009 19:34:03 -0800 (PST)
Thursday afternoon, we were notified that Leonard would be transferred on Monday (Jan. 12, 2009.) We don’t know which facility he will be assigned to, but we want to ask everyone to email/fax the officials at the Federal Bureau of Prisons Designation and Sentence Computation Center (DSCC) in Grand Prairie, TX.

Fax to: 972-352-4395
Re: Leonard Peltier 89637-132
Inform them the Turtle Mountain Tribal Council has passed a resolution to have Leonard there. In addition, there are two other federal facilities, Sandstone, MN & Oxford, WI, which Leonard could be assigned to which will allow his relatives to come and see him.
This transfer will offset his parole hearing scheduled for February, and we won’t have any information until Leonard has arrived at his next facility.
I would also ask you to send up a prayer for my brother, along with your messages supporting his transfer to these locations. We still have his parole and clemency to concentrate on after he arrives at what our family hopes will be the last stop of our 33-year-old nightmare. I can’t begin to imagine the insanity of being locked away for so long, and the whole time you know you are innocent as the rest of the world outside of America does.
This nightmare has to end now and it is going to take each and everyone one of you to make an active stand to help end it. For years we have said that Leonard could have been any one of you. Anyone with a conscience, heart and soul who dares to speak up against the government could end up falsely imprisoned or dead.
My brother was in South Dakota that day to help provide safety to a community of Elders and traditional people. He and his friends in the American Indian Movement were asked to come there. Leonard didn’t have to, but he is a very unselfish person, so without regard to his own safety, he went to Oglala. Everyone can see the Robert Redford film “Incident at Oglala”, and Leonard’s trials, for all of the details about what happened there.
This February 6th will mark 33 years since his arrest and so much has happened. A generation has been born and is having children, many of Leonard’s friends and family has passed on, and the world has moved on. Maybe that is a way to understand what it feels to be falsely imprisoned and to live a nightmare. A life sentence is really a sentence of death. And being innocent is a 24/7 torture. All you have to look forward to is another day like yesterday with tomorrow being no better.
My brother has two life sentences to look forward through, and it is his belief, as well as mine, that he will come home. Keep sending us your prayers and support so that we can break down those walls!
Thank you,
Betty Ann Peltier-Solano

There have been many Hip Hop artist that have come out of the southern sections of the U.S. Groups like 2 Live Crew, 36 Mafia, UGK and Outkast have become icons and paved the way for artist like T.I, Ludacris, Lil Wayne, and Young Jeezy.
In 2009 a new year, a new president, and new emerging artist in music, a North Carolina Hip Hop artist by the name of Mel Ez is about to put his state he calls North Cakalac on the map.
Vocally Mel Ez is distinct, with a slightly raspy but very smooth texture. He has mastered the art of delivering the best performance money can buy on any production. He has being viewed as undoubtly incredible because his southern drawl and flow, yet his writing ability is that of a very good east coast artist. Considering this it is no wonder he has become the North Carolina rapper everyone wants to record with and produce.
Take a listen to some of his timeless material. You will hear style, swagger, confidence, and versatility. His first single “Do Something” has that southern bounce to it that keeps your head going up and down. The hook immediately catches you with lines like “she got a couple friends, I told her jump in, she acting like she want to do something”. The flow he demonstrates and the lyricals make this song a hit. You also have his underground hard hitting song “Lock & Load” featuring label mate Deeno Snuff. His first line of his verse sets the stage of the entire song with “I’m a mutha…… bully but I ain’t taking lunch money, taking nig… lives til the feds come for me”. His song “Don’t Be Offended” have people wondering if Tupac is stil alive because his flow is so reminiscent of the late great Tupac yet it wasn’t intentional at all. His library of hits will have the entire music industry wondering why he isn’t making millions already.
With business and creative direction from Hefnaz Produkshunn LLC which is presently a independent recording label, 2009 will be the year of Mel Ez.

It’s been said that everyone does it bigger in Texas, and E.S.G. can rightfully claim a part in one of the biggest movements in Hip Hop history. As an original Screwed Up Click member alongside the legendary DJ Screw, E.S.G. saw the famed Chopped and Screwed sound grow from Houston’s underground to worldwide recognition. With a plethora of albums and appearances spanning 15 years, the Everyday Street Gangsta is back in 2009 with Digital Dope, a project that will be released digitally on February 10 in association with Gracie Productions and EMI.
Digital Dope features longtime Screwed Up Click affiliate Lil’ KeKe and crooner Big T, known best for singing the hook on Lil Troy’s platinum single “Wanna Be a Balla.” E.S.G. is also incorporating the talents of artists like Big Cliff, Big Boy SA, ILL Tactics, Duane Harris, J Stew, C-Money and Fred T from his new label S.F.L (Screwed Fo Life). Production includes innovative beats from Sean Blaze, DJ Bido, Unique, Da Beat Kings, Harvey Love, D Smuv, JP and Bam.
“This album is basically what it’s called - digital dope,” explains E.S.G. “We’ve been doing mixtapes and screw tapes down South so long. This time, instead of just a normal mixtapes over industry beats, we decided to give what we call in Texas ‘a skee taste’ of all original tracks for the growing online community. People have been eating off us for years over the web, so if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.”
E.S.G. will follow in late 2009 with the album Everyday Street Gangsta, already in the works. Features already locked in for the full-length album include Bun B, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, Big Hawk, Trae and E.S.G.’s seven-year-old son Killa B.
Although his professional and musical resources are far-reaching, E.S.G. unselfishly realizes the importance of bringing forth fresh talent from his area. He often collaborates with newcomers, each wanting the chance to put their own mark on Houston’s incredible Hip Hop history.
“Every region across the globe has someone that has helped to pave the way for others,” says E.S.G. “Scarface, Bun B and Tony Draper are the people who opened doors for me, the same as I have been the first to do songs with many up-and-coming artists in my region. I just want to keep making music for game, to keep eating and to help inspire new artists or the next young C.E.O.”

ABOUT E.S.G.
As a trailblazer of the early ’90s, Houston native and Screwed Up Click member E.S.G. helped popularize the “chopped and screwed” style associated with his onetime home, Wreckshop Records. The “Everyday Street Gangsta” made his first major move in 1995 when Perrion Entertainment released Ocean of Funk, which featured his breakthrough single “Swangin’ and Bangin’” and its accompanying “Chopped and Screwed” mix. E.S.G. is staying true to his roots with his new single “Actin Bad” and upcoming album Digital Dope, slated for release on February 10, 2009 (SFL / Gracie Productions / EMI).
E.S.G.’s early success in ‘95 with the chopped and screwed sound inspired Perrion Entertainment to reissue the most impressive songs from Ocean of Funk -”Swangin’ and Bangin’,” “Crooked Streets” and “Smoke On” - on a new album the same year entitled Sailin’ da South, which was distributed widely by Priority Records. Following his amazing breakout buzz, E.S.G. maintained a low profile while imprisoned.
Despite his personal setbacks, the chopped and screwed movement was reaching the masses, and E.S.G. came home in 1998 with renewed artistic energy. He created the intensely dark album Return of the Living Dead (Black Hearted/SoSouth), and took on an increasingly hardcore stance as competition between MC’s thrived within the Dirty South movement.
E.S.G. found a visionary match with up-and-coming Houston label Wreckshop Records, a company driven by the reputation of the immortalized DJ Screw. E.S.G. recorded the albums Shinin’ Grindin’ in 1999 and City Under Siege in 2000, followed by a chopped and screwed remix of the latter. Unfortunately, DJ Screw passed away in 2000, leaving behind a legacy of music that E.S.G. and his counterparts in the movement were determined to carry on.
In the wake of the new millennium, E.S.G. was touted as one of the eminent rappers in Texas alongside the likes of Lil’ Keke, Fat Pat, U.G.K. and Lil’ Troy. He capitalized on his reputation by co-establishing S.E.S. Records. The label’s first release in 2001, Boss Hoggs Outlaws, paired E.S.G. with newcomer Slim Thug, and gave the imprint credence in the ever-growing Southern market.
While E.S.G. has been grinding independently for the past few years, changes in music trends and the Houston music scene have given him even bigger reasons to ensure the niche for chopped and screwed music everywhere. His new project Digital Dope takes the traditional street album to a new place, with a focus on internet fans.

Production includes innovative beats from Sean Blaze, DJ Bido, Unique, Da Beat Kings, Harvey Love, D Smuv, JP and Bam.
E.S.G.’s business plan for the S.F.L. label begins with the February 2009 release of Digital Dope in association with Gracie Productions and EMI distribution, and will follow with the album Everyday Street Gangsta, already in the works. Features already locked in for Everyday Street Gangsta include Bun B, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, Big Hawk, Trae and E.S.G.’s seven-year-old son Killa B.
“Every region across the globe has someone that has helped to pave the way for others,” says E.S.G. “Scarface, Bun B and Tony Draper are the people who opened doors for me, the same as I have been the first to do songs with many up-and-coming artists in my region. Over the years, we all became household names in this part of the U.S., and consistently dropped good music without major promotion. Even still, we could sell nearly a million records independently with the fanbase we created. I just want to keep making music for game, to keep eating and to help inspire new artists or the next young C.E.O.”

Rap artist “Five” (Sean Foskey) has entered hip hop with the welcome reception that most artist dream to have. Five has always rapped but didn’t pursue it professionally until his manager Shake of Stone World Music Group/Fontana/Universal approached him about being part of his record label. With his first single “Show Stopper” featuring Slim from 112, hitting New York’s Power 105.1 airwaves and mid-west stations like Cleveland’s 107.9 FM and Louisville’s 96.5 FM; Five is set to make his mark in hip hop. “The single “Show Stopper” is officially releasing on January 13, 2009 but DJ’s are asking for the music in advance. It’s a great spot to be in as an independent company with major distribution,” says co-owner Big Tyme of Stone World (myspace.com/itsastoneworld). In addition to his single with Slim of 112 Five has also received positive feedback with his underground single “We Don’t Believe You” featuring Hell Rell.
The hip hop world is buzzing about Five. The release of his new project “Star Power the EP” will be the first full digital release for Five. The debut album from Five features production from Terrace Martin (Snoop, Murs, DTP), Joe Warlick via The Specialists (Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, Dru Hill, and Lil Bow Wow), Ski Beats (Jay-Z and Camp Lo), Jon Famous (Jim Jones and Grand Hustle), and Blue Fire. He worked with producers that understood his style and direction. In addition to the lead single Show Stopper, the release of the Blue Fire produced song “We Don’t Believe You” featuring Hell Rell, which just hit the streets is receiving an overwhelming response from the blogosphere and the streets alike. The song is all about the haters that get jealous about the things people work hard to obtain. Five feels that there needs to be a balance in hip-hop. “I feel there is a place for discussing the effects of poverty and street life because it is still real and relevant and shouldn’t be trivialized by those who aren’t struggling” says Five. However it needs to be done with realism and not just for shock value and entertainment. We tried to select a beat that wouldn’t over power the lyrics and meaning of the song. Although considered a lyricist Five understands the importance of making what he calls “Big Records” that have mass appeal. With the Terrace Martin produced single “Hands High” featuring J. Black of Dubb Union, we made a party song for the ladies. It paints a picture of the all important first two minutes of the conversation when you meet a female in the club, which as everyone knows determines everything. Terrance Martin who has produced for artists like Snoop, made the beat for the song. The song has a hard club beat but is meant for the grown and sexy. This project is going to grab the interest of that old school rap lover that loves great lyrics and those that want to be entertained with good music, as well as the young rap lovers that are looking for music to just bop their heads to in the car. To have Star Power you must have a magnetic presence, be talented and diverse, and connect with the masses. That’s why my album is titled “Star Power the EP”.
Five was born in Upstate New York; he received his name during his five year prison term. But after speaking to Five you will realize there is so much more to this young intelligent emcee with the hard exterior. He attended college, values family and has the street credibility that most emcee’s pretend to have. Five is called the “General” and “Mr. Star Power” by those who know him best. “Out of all the misconceptions that exist, you can’t make yourself a leader, you can’t make people respect you, being a general is an elected position, it’s a privilege that I take seriously in art and in life. “Some artists have swag, I have presence, Hip Hop raised me and I feel blessed that I can present the positives and negatives of my life experiences through music” says Five. Again, I want to thank everyone for supporting my single Show Stopper featuring Slim of 112; it will be available in all digital outlets (including iTunes) on January 13, 2009
